Spray paint!
Oh, how I've missed you!
The weather has turned a corner, and I've been a spray painting fool!
Here is a super quick project that I got accomplished this week.
I spray painted some chipped (damaged) birds that I got at GW a bright, cheery shade of aqua.
...spray painted a nasty GOLD (ugh) candlestick that I got at GW
What to use as a nest???
You all know I'm a curb picker... a few years ago, I grabbed two hanging baskets off the curb. I removed the chains, added white twinkle lights and threw them out in my garden.
I thought these would be perfect, so
I removed the lights, layered one with leftover burlap.
Added Spanish moss.
The birds flew in.
Closed the two baskets with garbage ties.
...yes, garbage ties.
It is sitting next to our back entry.
Love the pop of color!
A quick easy project.
...okay, really I just wanted to show you that I was FINALLY able to spray paint again!
Happy Spring!
Excuse the mess on the porch. It hasn't been warm enough to power wash yet!
...just wait--- the word from my secret source (the weatherman) indicates we might reach 70 degrees this week.
Oh, happy day!

ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with what you had! And that blue color - I'm lovin' it just because! I really want to use something like that in my house for spring/summer - just have to find the "right" things though!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to the hair and pony tail thing - I have daily issues with my hair!
Good luck on the new business - I'll be "cyber cheering" you on!
How clever!
ReplyDeleteToo creative! LOVE the blue. We are using that blue (along with black and white) in our new booth at the shop. I also just found two birds just like that at a thrift shop. They are white but someone glued blue rhinestone jewels in their eye spots. I wanted to put them under a cloche on moss, but they wouldn't fit, their tails are too tall! Now I need something new to do with them, and you just gave me some ideas1 ;)
ReplyDeleteHey Amy! Where are you? Tax season is over. The birds are back. But where are you? Hope all is well! Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThis is such a creative way to use a hanging basket! I will have my eye out for one for sure!
ReplyDeleteChelsea
