My first little project is for my darling niece, Jenna. She is having her very important 10th birthday next weekend....
I picked this little message center up at a garage sale.... ever had one of these?
Yep, very 80's posh! I transformed it for Miss Jenna... complete with chalkboard paint.... as if!
Of course... you aren't seeing the whole gift.... this will be adorned with lots of new jewelry for her big birthday! (and maybe a gift card pinned to it too!) Hope she likes it!!
My 2nd quickie project was this little bread pan I plucked out of a 'free box' from a garage sale.
instead, I thought it needed a little paint...
Do you like? Just a fair warning now--- I have a 'black and white thing'.... it goes WAAAY back to when I was a little girl. I heart all things black and white! Remember the perfume, Exclamation! In the glorious black and white bottle ??? Well... I sprayed and sprayed that stuff... just so I could get a new bottle.... 6th grade was a very big year for me... 3 bottles alone... (and a cute little boyfriend!)
This bread pan is now going to hold...... well, I'm not sure, but something.... I'm working on a new 'wall' display at the bottom of my stairs... you can bet this will be worked into the new display!
My third quick project for the day is this lovely lady... I found her at a garage sale for $1.00... and while she is a beauty... I really brought her home for the frame...
The loaf pan painted is darling!!! Good job!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your improvements! Where are you hanging the message center - on your daughter's door? Just trying to pick up good ideas for my 9 year old daughter!
ReplyDeleteI need your bread pan as flower pot on my deck! I love black and white too! Welcome to Met Mon!
ReplyDeleteOoooh - black and white - my favorites! I love color but there is just something about the classic look of black and white. All of your projects look great. I would never have thought of painting a bread pan but it looks amazing. And oh, those glorious days of Exclamation perfume!
ReplyDeleteyou did a wonderful job all around!

ReplyDeleteVery nice makeovers. I love the loaf pan.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see that coming for the little bread pan. Good job.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I hear someone is going to Portland and always tell them they have to go to Snob er I mean Nob Hill and have lunch at the big deli there.
I haven't been in some time but now I am craving a corned beef on rye and it isn't even 7 a.m. here.
Both transformations are fabulous! I can't wait to see your final b&w wall.
ReplyDeleteThe memo board redo is fabulous! (I have a Jenna, too.) I love what you did to the bread pan, and the memo board is fantastic, too!

I just love all three projects!! The bread pan idea was a surprise and I really like it! I'd love to make one for herbs or flowers. I like to have whimsical or quirky things in my garden~adds a lot of interest (maybe not all good! lol).

Love the projects! I have been looking for something like your message board for weeks. I need it to hang keys. Yours sure turned out cute!
ReplyDeleteHello! And yes, it is a small world! Besides my bff though, you are the first person I've come across in the blogosphere from Osky.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and following. :) I'm following yours now, too. It's so nice to read a blog that mentions the square, sweet corn serenade, and county fair. Heh.
Oh, and I just LOVE these projects. That first one is especially cute. What girl wouldn't want that?
Have a splendid week!
Great transformations!
